Petition to improve radiotherapy services

Charlotte Beardmore, professional officer for the Society of Radiographers, is fronting a YouTube clip encouraging members of the public to sign a petition to improve radiotherapy services.

The Cancer Research UK petition, which will be delivered to 10 Downing Street in early November, calls on the government to address the gap in the amount of radiotherapy available to treat cancer patients.

It asks for all patients to be allowed equal access to high technology, world class treatments.

The aim is to collect 36,000 signatures as this is the number of people who should be, but are not, receiving radiotherapy treatment each year.
