Oncology Systems Limited is pleased to announce that following the NHS Supply Chain tender exercise its broad range of solutions for radiotherapy are available under the new National Framework Agreement for the Supply of Imaging, Radiotherapy and Ancillary Devices. The agreement runs from 5 December 2011 until 4 December 2013 with an option to extend for a further two years.

Managing more than four million orders per year, across 120,000 order points and 10,000 locations, NHS Supply Chain gives customers a single point of access to over 600,000 products.

Carl Pavey, OSL’s managing director said: “NHS Supply Chain is accounting for a greater proportion of our business year-on-year and we are pleased to be included in the new Framework.

“At a time when the NHS must make substantial savings in the area of procurement, it’s imperative that companies make sure their products are on the list. It is an easier route to market for suppliers and an easier route to purchase for our customers, who are assured of best pricing and an EU compliant acquisition process. This avoids the need for both parties to enter into a new, lengthy, time consuming and hence expensive tender for individual purchases.

“The time savings are immense, we typically see the time duration from request for quotation to order placement being a matter days. This means that we are able to deliver much needed equipment far quicker and this can only help our customers improve the quality of patient care offered”
