Clinical Specialist in Radiotherapy & Imaging - UK based

Oncology Systems Ltd (OSL) is a leading supplier and manufacturer of radiotherapy and imaging devices and equipment to the UK, Republic of Ireland and worldwide. OSL has created a new position that would be ideal for a clinical technologist/scientist or similar professional, with experience in radiotherapy and medical imaging. Knowledge of treatment planning, CT, MR and ultrasound would be an advantage.

This role will be customer facing with medical professionals in the public and private health sectors involving extensive travel to visit hospitals in the UK and Ireland, as well as some international travel. The product areas supported in this role are leading edge, highly software oriented and will include radiotherapy treatment planning, dosimetry and QA, and prostate diagnosis. The role will involve working closely with our medical physics, engineering team and clinical/sales specialists to provide customer support, installation, software testing, and to provide product demonstrations and training to end users of our technology.

Medical Technical Support Engineer

OSL is a leading supplier of state-of-the-art radiotherapy and urology technology mainly to the oncology healthcare sector, selling directly to both NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK & Ireland and through a global network of distributors for its own in-house software.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated support engineer to assist with the provision of comprehensive service support for our portfolio of products installed in the UK & Ireland and for our distribution network.

The role is largely field based and extensive travel throughout the UK & Ireland together with some overseas travel will be required. A full, clean British driving license is essential.

The role involves the day to day service support of a range of radiotherapy and imaging software and electro-mechanical equipment including the installation, upgrade, preventative and reactive maintenance and repair of systems both remotely and at customer sites. The service team often provides introductory training for customers, and is also responsible for the support of the Company’s internal IT infrastructure.

The successful person will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a tight-knit multidisciplinary team. Suitable candidates will have an engineering background together with excellent IT skills. Experience of working in a hospital or similar environment is desirable, although, as extensive product training will be provided, exceptionally technical, non-medical background candidates are welcomed. A working knowledge of ISO13485 for Medical Devices and Quality Management, and Microsoft certification would be beneficial. This is a key customer facing role requiring excellent organisational, communication and customer relation skills.
