Technical Support Engineer
c.£30-35k plus performance related bonus and pension contribution
OSL is a leading supplier of high-end radiotherapy products and solutions to the oncology healthcare sector, selling directly to both NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK & Ireland and through a global network of distributors for its own in-house software.
We are currently seeking a self-motivated professional to join our service team to assist with the provision of comprehensive service support both for our portfolio of products installed in the UK & Ireland and for our distribution network.
The role involves the day to day service support of a range of radiotherapy software and electro-mechanical equipment including the installation, upgrade, preventative and reactive maintenance and repair of products both remotely and at customer sites. The service support team also provides introductory training for customers in the use of new or upgraded products and is also responsible for the support of the Company’s internal IT infrastructure.
The role is largely field based and extensive travel throughout the UK & Ireland together with some overseas travel will be required.
The successful person will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Suitable candidates will have an engineering background together with excellent IT skills. Experience of working in a hospital, radiotherapy or similar environment is desirable. A working knowledge of ISO13485 for Medical Devices and ISO9001 for Quality Management would be beneficial. Up to date Microsoft certification would also be beneficial.
This is a key customer facing role requiring excellent organisational, communication and customer relation skills.
