Automate and Simplify QA

QUASAR™ Penta-Guide software is designed to simplify and enhance daily cone beam CT QA through automated image analysis. This time-saving application automates the analysis and reporting for kV-MV projection images as well as 3D cone beam CT images.

Penta-Guide software includes a central application which interacts with a SQL database. Running unattended in the background, the application automatically analyzes Penta-Guide images. It also manages communications, security and linac configuration.

Penta-Guide software also includes a CITRIX-enabled thin client with unlimited installations. The Penta-Guide client, which includes a DICOM viewer, interacts with the central application to enable the following functions:

• Visualize and approve test results
• View database trends
• Manage test configurations
• Record daily QA worksheet information for database storage

Test results are broadcast by email to a pre-determined list of email recipients. Approved test results are retained in a database for long-term storage and trend analysis. Results can be exported to Excel or PDF files if required.

Image analysis

Penta-Guide software is capable of performing image analysis on 2D and 3D Penta-Guide images with the following reported parameters:

• Central Sphere Location
• MV Isocenter Location
• Isocenter and Scale Error
• Phantom Rotation
• Pitch, Roll and Yaw
• Contrast to Noise Ratio
• CT# for Air and Acrylic

Minimum technical requirements:

• Standard desktop or laptop PC with Windows XP, Vista or 7
• 1 GB RAM
• .NET framework 3.5 for client and server
• SQL Server (version 2005 or greater) for database
